Cost Estimate Preparation: This cost estimate was prepared on May 10, 2023 for the Fall 2023 semester. These costs are approximations and are subject to change.
Exchange Rate: USD $1 = 135.065 Japanese Yen (May 10, 2023)
Lodging: The housing fee is based on the housing fees at Residence Hall Ikkyo-Ryo for a 4-month basis. Students should budget for the housing option they select and also be sure to budget in any additional fees. In addition to the fees listed above, residents will pay utility bills for private rooms and common areas. Internet connection fee is included in the boarding fee.
Meals: This estimate was provided directly from Hitotsubashi University.
Personal Expenses: This estimate is meant to cover general expenses of college life, including additional course supplies, photocopying, toiletries, snacks, cell phone, etc. Personal expenses do not include any entertainment or vacation travel costs.
Local Transportation: Based on a mix of using metro and bicycle to commute from residence hall to campus.
Books and Supplies: N/A
Visa Fee: There are no Visa fees for US Citizens, and fees are waived for some 50+ nationalities.
Additional Program Information: Students are required to purchase Japanese National Health Insurance.
