Exchange Rate: USD $1 = 0.89 EUR (3/7/2019)

Lodging: Estimate is based on the average rent for a single apartment in HEC housing.

Lodging Deposit: Includes non-refundable lodging application fee (250 euros) and refundable security deposit (450 euros). This will largely depend on the type of housing you select (on or off campus).

Meals: Estimate is based on cost for three meals daily (15 euros/day), if eaten at an HEC student restaurant.

Personal expenses: Personal expenses will vary greatly depending on individual spending habits. 

Mandatory Health and Liability Insurance:  Students studying in France are required to purchase the French national insurance.  Regardless of French coverage, students must still maintain their US health insurance coverage. 

Visa fees: Include approximate cost for both Campus France registration ($180) and visa application ($56).  Visa fees are subject to change; individuals should consult consulate websites.

The airfare price quoted above is based upon the average cost of a round-trip ticket from the gateway city of New York City to the program site. Students may depart from the city of their choice.

***Students living outside of a gateway city area may need to arrange for a connecting flight to a gateway city. These are additional variable costs, to be calculated individually by the student. 

***Additionally, students may need to travel to a consulate to apply for and/or pick up a visa. These are additional variable costs to be calculated individually by the student.
