Cost Estimate Preparation: This cost estimate was prepared on April 27, 2021 for the Fall 2021 semester. These costs are approximations and are subject to change.

Exchange Rate: 0.826 EUR = $1 USD (4/27/2021)

Lodging: Estimated cost for semester room and board in a student residence hall which includes three meals daily (excluding weekends).

Meals: Supplemental meals throughout the semester, particularly weekend meals.

Personal Expenses: This estimate is meant to cover general expenses of college life, including additional course supplies, photocopying, toiletries, snacks, cell phone, etc. Personal expenses do not include any entertainment or vacation travel costs.

Local Transportation: Monthly metro/bus/bike pass estimate for the semester. 

Books and Supplies: University estimate for books purchased abroad.

Additional Program Information: Visa costs include the price of a Spanish student visa ($160) plus $18 for an FBI background check and €16 for a DNI card in Spain.

COVID-19 Related Costs:  Additional costs at the student’s expense related to traveling abroad during COVID-19, including: pre-arrival COVID-19 testing, post-arrival COVID-19 testing, vaccination requirements, quarantine requirements, COVID-19 testing before return home, and any food delivery costs a student may incur as a result of health and safety guidance during their abroad program. This cost is an estimate based on known information at your abroad location as of May 2021. A student’s actual additional costs related to COVID-19 expenses may be higher or lower than what is projected in this line item.
